  2. Thanks for your comments:) Yes, bandwidth and throughput are sometimes quite confusing.

    From the network terminology, you are absolutely right. Bandwidth is the permissible amount of data flow through a network in certain time. While throughput is the actual data available to a device.

    However bandwidth is always used in web hosting industry to define the amount of data available for a web hosting account. Maybe only a few web hosting companies use throughput for hosting account:)
