Starting A Hosted Minecraft Server Episode 3 (Installing plugins using Multicraft)

** Installing a JAR file Plugin Log into Multicraft Browse to your Server Click on the Plugins link in the navigation column on the left Locate the plugin you wish to install in the list Click on the Install link in the right-most column. The JAR file will be copied to the plugins folder on your server If successful the Install Link will change to Remove and the icon will change to a brick with a green plus sign CraftBukkit will attempt to load the plugin the next time the server is started. You can confirm that it has loaded by checking the Console when the server starts ** Installing an Archive file Plugin Some plugins need to install more than one file. In this case the files and their file structure are preserved within an archive file, typicall in a ZIP format. Multicraft is capable of extracting these archives to the plugins folder. Log into Multicraft Browse to your Server Click on the Plugins link in the navigation column on the left Locate the plugin you wish to install in the list Click on the Unpack link in the right-most column. The archive will be extracted to the plugins folder on your server NOTE: Multicraft does not check if the plugin files all unpack correctly, icons and links in the Plugins page will not change CraftBukkit will attempt to load the plugin the next time the server is started. You can confirm that it has loaded by checking the Console when the server starts As always the hosing for this tutorial is provided by EnviousHost <b>…<b>

  1. hi therei recently bought a multicraft server and i was wandering how do you reset the system so its like it when u start because my plugins are out of date and i want to remove them

  2. if you just want to reset the map delete your "world" folder while the server is stopped. if you want to remove all plugins then delete the plugins folder while the server is off. if you want both gone do both. the server will regen both when you start it back up. I hope this helped but if not just be more specific and I’ll help where I can!

  3. thanks for the help i have realised i have had way way way too many plugins for my 512mb server so i have delted many of them and hopefully it will worki. If not i will delete them all keep the world and then add main plugins a ineed. Thanks a lot!

  4. sure!, try lightweight plugins like commandbook instead of essentials, as a general rule the size of the jar is a good sign of the memory footprint.
