Chris Matthews Struggles to Defend Hosting Tony Perkins

At a book signing in Framingham, Massachusetts on 3242012, Faithful America members confront Chris Matthews about his consistently inviting Tony Perkins, President of the hate group Family Research Council, on his show. Matthews responds by falsely claiming that Perkins never says homophobic things on his show, but when challenged that his invitations give legitimacy to what Perkins says outside the show, Matthews has no answer. Matthews also later claims that every time Perkins is on, hes challenged. But Matthews never challenges Perkins on his long record of hateful lies about the LGBT community.

  1. You’re Busted Mathews!! You can’t deny that when you host Perkins it gives legitimacy to all the other horrible, hateful, bigoted views he spews. NOT ALL IDEAS ARE EQUAL OR DESERVE EQUAL TIME. Especially ideas that hurt, discriminate and deny equal protections under the law to American Citizens.

  2. I demand that he also gives equal time to white supremacists, nazis, KKK members and other kinds of racists

  3. PLEASE DONT READ THIS. YOU WILL GET KISSED ON THE NEAREST POSSIBLE FRIDAY BY THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE. TOMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE. HOWEVER IF YOU DONT POST THIS COMMENT TO AT LEAST 3 VIDEOS YOU WILL DIE WITHIN 2 DAYS. NOW UV STARTED READIN DIS DUNT STOP THIS IS SO SCARY. SEND THIS OVER TO 5 VIDEOS IN 143 MINUTES WHEN UR DONE PRESS F6 AND UR CRUSHES NAME WILL APPEAR ON THE SCREEN IN BIG LETTERS. THIS IS SO SCARY CAUSE IT ACTUALLY WORKS THIS ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!!

  4. I thought liberals loved the "Fairness Doctrine." I thought they loved giving "equal time" to all sides, don’t they?

  5. Seems kinda rude to confront Mathews at his book signing…especially when he agrees with your basic point of view. He doesn’t have Perkins on because he agrees with him.

Side note…I bet Tony Perkins hates having the same name as the bisexual actor from Psycho lol.

  6. And by that measure, why not bring in the KKK any time racial bias comes up in the news? After all, we all know how "unfair" it is to refuse to provide platforms for hatemongers to promote long-debunked myths and dehumanizing misinformation about minority groups…

  7. tony perkins is a member of a hate group, i don’t see chris inviting nazis and KKK members regularly to his show

  8. he does pull that homophobic crap on every show, and no some people like rush, beck, etc aren’t in it for the news or the professional commentary they are in it for the shock value, they are the equivalent of a right wing smut show and should be placed on a pay to play channel like the government’s censor hounds have done to Howard Stern because some crazy christian taliban ladies didn’t like his subject matter. Force his audience to be only pay per show audiences and see his #’s drop

  9. Chris matthews is a ultra liberal turd… and Im SHOCKED that the LGBT community would attack Him! He is always supporting Gay marrage every time he talks about the topic. As a Independent I thing this is stupid and the real problem with the Left…The Gay republicans get tuned away from Parades and Conventions and still stick to the party moto. Democrats are always infighting and never united… easy to pick apart like a Lion hunting Buffalo!

  10. Tony Perkins should only get air time he PAYS for, (and of course Fox – but, whatever). Inviting him as an ‘opposing’ POV on any subject is ridiculous, particularly if the subject is relevant to LGBT related topics. Chris is a decent guy – he does pay attention, listening … lol…. maybe sometimes.

  11. Faithful America is a hate group!! They hide behind a pseudo-religious name but the hate anyone that doesn’t have the same value system they have. And then they try and attack them. Matthews did a great job in saying tis group wants to silence people. The right to freedom of speech is what this group is trying to kill. Anybody with a different opinion is removed. It wouldn’t surprise me if this group used violence against those they hate.

  12. This is and example of struggling to "defend" having Tony Perkins on his show? Really? He exposed these nincompoops who showed up at a book signing to ha-rang him about allowing someone to speak an opinion different than their own. These are dangerous hateful tyrants who want to squelch any speech but their own. They have no respect for human rights or the constitution. I don’t like Matthews but he did a great job of exposing these nuts for what they are.

  13. That may be your opinion. But please, before you make such exclamations, study what they study in order that you may speak with greater credibility. Right now, you’re just sounding very angry and unintelligent. Be informed.

  14. I have watched Tony Perkins several times on CNN and he has never made any comment that could in any way be construed as homophobic, gay-bashing, or hate-mongering. If someone wishes to accuse him of homophobia, I hope they will be fair about it, i.e., they list the evidence, contact Mr. Perkins, and include his comment with the evidence they provide. They also need to clearly list the criteria of their definition of homophobia, something the SPLC has failed to do.

  15. Why can’t you guys deal with someone else’s opinion. You think people are such doops that they can’t make right from wrong, let them decide on their own, they don’t need you maneuvering and setting discourse in a way. Matthews is right, all you want on tv is what you want to hear, and not what others want to here.
